Evergreen buys 20% stake in Euromax Rotterdam
Euromax is one of five large container terminals in Rotterdam’s Maasvlakte area, adding to Rotterdam Word Gateway, APMT-MV2, ECT Delta Terminal and Hutchison Ports Delta II (the former APMTR). Evergreen is also a minority stakeholder in ECT Delta with a share that is believed to be ‘in the region of 5%’. Evergreen mainline calls at Rotterdam are roughly evenly split between Euromax and ECT Delta 1, whereby the latter terminal is used to handle the carrier’s flagship service ‘CEM’, which is also known as the OCEAN Alliance ‘NEU6’. The top users at Euromax are the OCEAN members and mainline carriers CMA CGM, COSCO, Evergreen and OOCL, as well as the regional lines Unifeeder, BG Freight and X-Press. (Source: Alphaliner)
