Update on Industrial Action at DP World 14/11/23

DP World today have announced that members of the CFMMEU, MUA Division have, despite continued efforts to reach an understanding, outlined a further series of work bans and stoppages up to and including Monday 27 November 2023.

This includes work-related bans (shift extensions and overtime bans, etc.), plus bans on working vessels, plus one to two hour closures each day, plus 24-hour bans on loading or unloading trucks or trains on nominated days in Brisbane, Fremantle, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Unfortunately, we have been experiencing excessive delays as consequences of the recent cyber security issue and on-going industrial action at DPWA. Delivery services, slot availability, the return of empty containers and turnaround times have been significantly affected.

While we will do everything possible to manage all containers to the best of our ability, we will have no choice but have to pass on any additional costs incurred.
