Overview of port operations
The China-Europe freight train operated smoothly in Week 5. The efficiency of rail ports is almost the same as last week – it takes about 4-8 days to reload in Khorgos. In the European direction, it takes about 13 days from domestic stations to Malaszewicze, 18-25 days to Duisburg and Hamburg. Shipping service in Europe has been delayed by a strike, with some containers experiencing delays of 1-3 days longer than expected.
The Spring Festival is approaching, and operators are making arrangements for the holiday .Xi'an plans to arrange staff working on February 10, 13, and 16. Chengdu, Zhengzhou, and Chongqing will also continue to dispatch freight trains during the Spring Festival, but the actual work plan has not yet been notified. It should be noted that many platforms require that trains departing during the Spring Festival should cut off before the holiday. In addition, only declarations will be made during CNY. If inspection is required, it will be postponed until after the holiday.
In February, there is space available for booking from Xian to Malaszewicze and Duisburg. Space for customised trains from Chengdu is being released outside of the Spring Festival period. Public train space is available only on the 14 and 16 of the month.
The schedule for Central Asia is concentrated in mid-to-late February. More space can be found after 16 February. Xi'an has expanded its transportation routes across Caspian Sea and Black Sea. In the past, it could only reach Poti directly, but now Baku and Tbilisi have been added.
