A farmers protest march is planned in North India, scheduled to be held from Tuesday 13 February onwards. The protest will take place across the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab, with protestors marching from these states towards the capital city of New Delhi.
The home affairs ministry has already initiated precautions by erecting barriers and police outposts mandating full checking of all vehicles in order to curb the above protests.
It is expected there will be an impact on all transportation in and around the previously mentioned states. There are currently no indications suggesting traffic towards Nhava Sheva / Mumbai from North India is going to be affected, however it could occur as a cascading impact on or after 13 February.
Our team in India is monitoring the situation closely and will continue to provide updates. Our Customer team will be in touch regarding any impacted shipments, however please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
