DP World has announced significant construction at the Melbourne Terminal from 18th February 2024. Please refer below the notice:-
- From 2200hrs on 18th February 2024 (this coming Sunday) ,the North Park grids will be closed off while works take place to install the final 2 blocks of drive on grids (GR1 & GR2)
- These works will last 4 months. The capacity of road operations will be reduced to approx. 65% of our standard operating capacity.
- This will impact carriers’ ability to obtains slots and work during the preferred time of day shift. (this will impact carrier stack run requests as well for both full and empty runs)
- It will require carriers to spread their workload further into the evening shift, night shift and weekends to where additional capacity can be allocated.
- R&D will assist where they can but often requests from carriers for day shift slots will be unable to be met.
