Following the resignation of the prime minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday, the curfew in Bangladesh was withdrawn at 6am (local time) this morning.
The internet connection has improved.
Offices, banks and factories are understood to be open. Transport movement appears to be returning to normal and the CFS is operating.
From noon today, operations at Chittagong Port were suspended due to safety concerns involving port staff appointed by the previous government. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely.
We will update customers further as more information becomes available.
**UPDATE 2PM BST 06/08/24**
Please note that port operations have now resumed.
