Bad weather impacting Felixstowe port – 22/08/24

Bad weather is impacting Felixstowe port today, causing last minute vessel ETA changes.  A weather warning is in effect for the area for the following time periods:

Thursday from 12:00 to 15:00

Friday from 06:00 to 11:00am

The port advises that based on the current forecast they are not expecting prolonged closures but intermittent stoppages that may cause delays to haulage operations. As a precaution, they have reduced booking availability during the timeframes, so you may see rebooking requests over the next 24 hours due to this.  The situation may be exacerbated by the UK bank holiday this Monday August 27 as the port is impacted by delayed vessels and reduced resource at the port due to the bank holiday weekend.
