We would like to inform you that Storm Eowyn is expected to cause significant disruptions to all UK port operations.
Winds are projected to exceed 90mph in Scotland and reach 70mph in Felixstowe.
The primary areas affected will be the North of England and Scotland. The following ports/depos have announced imminent closures:
- Freightliner Manchester: Closing at 0500 on 24/01
- Freightliner Leeds: Closing at 0500 on 24/01
- NWT Rotherham: Closing at 0600 on 24/01
- Grangemouth Quay: Closing at 0600 on 24/01
We have not yet received official communication from Southampton or London Gateway (DP World), but Felixstowe Port is expected to experience significant stoppages starting at midnight and continuing from 0500 to 1500 hours tomorrow.
Please be assured that our teams will do their utmost to pre mount as many containers as possible today in preparation for these disruptions. However, please be prepared for delays or failures which may occur, depending on any changes in the forecast.
