Following our previous updates on Cyclone Alfred approaching Queensland, here’s the latest on terminal operations:
Confirmed Terminal Closures
DP World Terminal:
• Operations will stop at 15:00 on 4th March.
• Operations are expected to resume on 8th March, resulting in a four-day suspension.
Pending Closure Announcements
Hutchinson Terminal:
• Official closure time is still pending.
• Operations will likely stop tomorrow and remain closed until weather conditions improve.
Patrick Terminal:
• Awaiting closure confirmation.
• Closures are expected to follow Hutchinson’s schedule.
• Resumption will depend on weather and safety assessments.
Vessel and Container Operations
The cyclone has impacted operations as follows:
• Vessel Berthing: All vessel operations at Queensland ports are suspended.
• Container Dehires: Containers for BCT Terminal or DP World must be redirected.
• Empty Container Parks: Remain open for now, but may close as weather conditions worsen.
