1. Aviation Updates
Brisbane Airport (BNE)
• Status: Open, but operations will cease with the last scheduled flight at 4 PM today (6 March).
Flight Disruptions
• Brisbane & Gold Coast: Qantas and Jetstar flights suspended from 6 March, expected to resume on 7 March.
• Coffs Harbour & Ballina: All flights suspended until midnight 6 March.
• Sunshine Coast & Hervey Bay: Flights currently operating but subject to change.

Empty Container Parks & Port Access
• Empty Container Parks: Multiple closures due to safety concerns.
• Port of Brisbane Access: No change to landside access; businesses should follow emergency plans.
3. DAFF Advisory :Regulatory & Industry Updates
• Urgent biosecurity inspections prioritised (e.g., perishable goods).
• Appointments being rescheduled DAFF contacting affected clients
• Import processing normal potential delays for non-urgent commodities
• Resource deployment on hold until safe monitoring conditions
4. Shipping & Transport Disruptions
• Maritime Safety Queensland: Suspended all inbound shipping.
• Queensland coastal ferry services: Paused.
• Brisbane Airport: Remains open, but operations will stop if wind speeds exceed 40 knots.
• 27 aircraft may be relocated from Brisbane Airport.
