We want to keep you informed about the ongoing disruption at Heathrow Airport. Due to a large fire at a nearby electrical substation, the airport has experienced a significant power outage and is expected to remain closed until at least midnight tonight.
As a result, over 1,300 flights scheduled for today have been affected, including approximately 120 flights that were already in the air at the time of the incident.
While the airline handling sheds remain operational, they are currently not accepting export deliveries. Our team is continuing to recover freight as normal, however we anticipate delays in the coming days due to flight cancellations.
We are actively monitoring the situation and working closely with airlines and partners to assess the impact on shipments. If your cargo is affected, our team will reach out to provide updates and alternative solutions where possible.
We will share further updates as soon as more information becomes available. If you have any urgent concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
