Overview
This week, operations across key corridors remain shaped by seasonal scheduling and capacity recalibrations. European and Asian gateways are adjusting to infrastructure developments and evolving transshipment patterns. Proactive coordination continues to be central to maintaining service continuity, especially amid new equipment deployment and extended transit intervals.
Regional Market Updates
United Kingdom
- Port and inland flows remain consistent.
- Delays from Northern Europe are ongoing, primarily impacting transshipped volumes.
United States
- Steady throughput continues at major coastal entry points.
- Extended dwell times persist across inland nodes, particularly in the Midwest
- Preparations are underway for seasonal uplift demand increases
Poland
- Operations remain stable
- Some eastbound scheduling remains influenced by Western European port congestion.
- New cross-Caspian rail services are gradually improving regional network connectivity
Netherlands / Northern Europe
- Rotterdam and Antwerp-Bruges maintain high yard density, with average dwell times holding at 5–6 days.
- Bremerhaven is progressing schedule adjustments in response to workforce constraints
India Subcontinent
- Port throughput remains normal.
- Vessel scheduling is stable, though Colombo transshipment delays are persisting.
- Regional developments around Delhi continue to create sporadic inland slowdowns
Australia / Oceania
- Terminal performance has further improved, especially across Australian east coast ports.
- Capacity constraints for New Zealand-bound services remain notable.
- Labour landscape is calm but continues to be closely monitored
Mexico
- Automotive corridors remain fluid.
- Monitoring continues on inland schedule variations.
Transport Line Updates
Sea
Northern Europe remains the most dynamic variable in ocean planning. CMA CGM has announced a new direct call ex VNVUT on FAL1 from July 30, calling Dunkerque, Southampton, and Gdansk. Gemini Service will expand Pacific Southwest coverage, adding Qingdao and Yantian calls starting in July.
Air
Capacity remains steady but tight on China–Europe and China–US services. Etihad and SF Airlines agreements continue to progress, anticipated to expand network reach further in Q3. Major hubs are preparing for additional uplift demand.
Rail
China–Europe services remain active, though Alashankou transshipment faces 5–7 day delays from road works, and Dostyk–Moyinty is also impacted by infrastructure backlogs.
Transit times are averaging 14–17 days to Poland and 20–25 days to Duisburg. Recent milestones include the first mixed-transport lithium battery train from the Yangtze River Delta and a new cross-Caspian service from Jinhua to Baku to strengthen links with Central Asia and Eastern Europe.
Global Port Operations
Bremerhaven and Rotterdam remain under sustained pressure, with Nordic alternatives absorbing diverted flows. Australian terminals are fully operational.
Transshipment at Colombo continues to be a pinch point for South Asia-bound cargo. New vessel rotations into Northern Europe may introduce additional variability in schedules over the next month.
