Please be advised that due to a combination of factors including industrial action, carriers continue to experience heavy congestion at Sydney terminals. This congestion has led to significant delays (4-14 days, depend on different terminals) to vessel schedules causing an increase in overall operational costs. Different carriers has introduced different Port Congestion Surcharge for all containers arriving / departing Sydney.
Noticed carriers would try to improve the vessel line-up by port omissions, some carrier re-route Sydney shipment via Melbourne; some even simply stop all fresh Sydney booking. The congestion would then spread to other ports like Melbourne or Brisbane, as vessels now are diverted. Thus, we would see the sailing schedule would come rather unstable in coming weeks.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused as a result of the protected Industrial Action, we will keep closed contact to update the latest status.
