The Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has now announced the membership of its National Shipper Advisory Committee. Members, made up of 20 importer, exporter and shipper groups, as well as four logistics providers, include Amazon, Cargill, DuPont, IKEA and Walmart.
The National Shipper Advisory Committee will offer guidance to the FMC as it seeks to make shipping easier, fairer and more efficient for American shippers.
In the announcement, FMC Chairman Daniel B. Maffei said: “I and the other Commissioners need rapid access to the perspectives of importers and exporters on the ground dealing with the realities of ocean shipping every day.”
A complete list of Committee members can be found within FMC’s original announcement.
