We have received the below notification from the Port of Felixstowe Customer Services team:
“As a consequence of exceeding their allocated storage space for empty containers, the port will be unable to accept empty container returns via road for the following carriers on the advised dates / times:
“Evergreen. Closed from 1100hrs on Friday 19 November until further notice.
“Customers with empty container returns for the affected carriers are asked to find alternative locations to return / store their empty containers.”
We are expecting widespread disruption and the potential for additional charges or rejections depending on the alternative depot offerings.
