Felixstowe port unable to accept empty containers 14/12/2021

We would like to make our customers aware of the below notification which has been received from the Port of Felixstowe Customer Services team:

As a consequence of exceeding their allocated storage space for empty containers, the Port of Felixstowe will be unable to accept empty container returns via road for the following carriers on the advised dates / times:

CMA CGM: Closed from 08:00 on Tuesday 14 December until further notice.

MSC: Closed from 07:00 on Wednesday 15 December until further notice.

MSC have so far offered alternative ports such as Bristol, Teesport or Liverpool.

Please expect possible disruption and / or push backs if you have a MSC container.
