Between January 3 at 20:00hrs and January 4 at 20:00hrs, three additional Covid-19 cases were detected in the monitoring area. There have been no changes to the lockdown, and the overall situation seems to be relatively under control now.
So far, no carriers have applied for blank sailings. There may be a shortfall in each tradelane this week, with carriers adjusting vessel calls if necessary.
In order to support Ningbo port operations and reduce the impact of the lockdown, Zhejiang province government announced that nobody could hold back trucks to serve factory loading in the Zhejiang province area yesterday evening – as long as truckers are able to provide a special permit and a health Nucleic Acid test report. While 674 truckers have been granted special permits to date, more than 3,500 drivers have submitted applications, which means the special permit could expand from Ningbo City to the whole of the Zhejiang province soon. With more driver resource available, trucking service recovery could be swift.
CFS and Meishan BLP warehouse continue to be operational. Drivers must provide two Nucleic Acid test reports in the three days after delivery and before leaving.
Depots not in the lockdown area are working to support the pick up and return of empties.
