Forecasts on Monday showed worsening weather conditions, and 5 wharf is close to shore line conditions. If the situation doesn’t improve, the port may not be able to have vessels alongside over 250m LOA from Wednesday evening through until Thursday afternoon.
Container vessels may be required to depart berths early if wind starts to track higher.
Shipping moves will likely be affected by the surge forecast on Wednesday and Thursday, and may be unable to berth / unberth at the times on the board – and as a result DUKC will reduce the size of their windows. The limit is dependent on berth and draft.
Our teams continue to monitor the situation closely and will be in touch regarding any affected bookings.
