An update on the impact of Covid-19 outbreaks in China 25/04/22

Due to outbreaks of Covid-19 in several cities across China, restrictive measures have been put in place which may affect communications and freight movement.

At present, operations at Qingdao, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Xiamen remain normal.

Shanghai

Shanghai continues to implement strict control policies with the city remaining in lockdown.

• The terminal, warehouse and airport are all open but with lower productivity due to reduced manpower.
• A permit is required for the truck operation; Ligentia can provide pick up services to support vendor deliveries as long as factories confirm their location allows Shanghai trucks to enter.

Ningbo

As per the latest Covid-19 status in the Zhejiang Province area, coupled with the influence of the Shanghai lockdown, the Zhejiang government has implemented strict policies with no change at present.

• Nucleic acid testing is required for truckers once per 24 hours, while it is required for other personnel once per 48 hours.
• Temporary lockdowns are ongoing as per local policies.

Effect to our business and customers

• Drivers must provide a Green Code and a 24-hour negative nucleic acid test to do empty pickup / laden gate-in at terminal and depot; the Green Code must have no asterisk (*) as this indicates the driver has been to a middle or high covid area in the past 14 days.
• Trucks may be requested to do antiepidemic elimination; cooperation from drivers will be sought as needed.
• The warehouse in Ningbo Beilun area – as well as BLP warehouse – is temporarily rejecting cargo entry from Jinhua city, Shanghai, Suzhou city and Xuzhou city this week.
• Trucking is limited to lockdown area, including Jinhua city, Shanghai, Jiaxing city, Nantong and Changzhou in Jiangsu Province, etc.
