Thousands of UK railway workers are expected to walk out in a three-day national strike this week. The RMT Union has said it will "shut down" Britain's railway network on Tuesday 21, Thursday 23 and Saturday 25 June after talks over pay and redundancies fell through.
Rail travel will be disrupted across the UK, with 40,000 staff at 13 train operating companies and Network Rail holding the country's biggest train strike since 1989. A separate labour dispute will also see a walkout on London's underground network.
Please note that the planned rail strikes will impact all rail services throughout this week, which will – in turn – put pressure on road haulage resource from the ports.
We've been working closely with customers to plan ahead for this disruption, however please contact your Customer team should you have any questions.
