CFS operations impacted following fire at BM Container Depot 30/06/22

Earlier this month, a fire sadly broke out at the BM Container Depot in the Kadmarsul area.

As a result, CFS operations had to be stopped at the depot and import and export volumes have been shifted to alternative depots. This has inevitably led to these depots becoming overbooked, which has impacted the CFS operation.

Meanwhile, some carriers are experiencing equipment shortages, and – prior to the EID holidays – cargo volume has also increased.

Please note, due to the above reasons, CFS operations have been impacted as below:

• Delays unloading trucks
• Delays stuffing containers
• Shut off containers due to CFS being unable to complete stuffing on time
