Latest update on Southampton rail disruption 04/04/23

Yesterday we shared an article outlining Southampton rail disruption following an incident.

Network Rail Western have confirmed that the Line Between Oxford & Didcot has been closed due to a track Defect at Nuneham Viaduct.

At this stage based on initial reports, Network Rail have given an estimate of 4-6 weeks for repairs to be completed.

During this time there will be severe disruption/cancellations expected to Southampton services. Solutions are being implemented, such as the diversion of services wherever possible via London.
