A ship that was grounded in the Suez Canal, named Xin Hai Tong, has now been refloated by tugboats.
The ship had been “not under command” near the southern end of the canal, positioned at an angle next to the canal’s eastern side, according to the Marine Traffic ship tracker.
As a bulk carrier, customer POs will not be under impact directly. In the short term, the incident has resulted in vessel speed slowdown.
We continue to monitor the situation closely.
