Latest update on cyclone Biparjoy 14/06/23

Based on the latest advisory, cyclone Biparjoy has slightly changed its course and will not hit Karachi directly.

However, many parts of Sindh, including the important area of Keti bandar will be hit, and eventually the city of Karachi is still likely to receive heavy rains and winds. This could take place in the evening and may continue until the morning of 16 June.

The carriers and ports are yet to announce any further line of action owing to the uncertain situation; however it is expected that vessels that were scheduled to berthed from today until 17 June might be effected.
