CMA CGM is planning the launch of a new Asia – Med loop in early July. It will offer the first direct connections between China and the Turkish port of Iskenderun and Misurata in Libya, but it will also call at the French carrier’s regional Med hub in Marsaxlokk (Malta). The new service is branded ‘Turkey Libya Express’ (TLX), all nine vessels for the TLX-fleet will be operated by CMA CGM. (Source: CMA CGM)

USWC Labor Union – ILWU, Terminal representatives PMA announce West Coast Waterfront Contract
The Pacific Maritime Association and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union on 14th Jun announced a tentative agreement on a new six-year contract covering workers at all 29 West Coast ports.
The agreement is subject to ratification by both parties, and ILWU President Willie Adams in a joint statement. “ We are also pleased to turn our full attention back to the operation of the West Coast Ports.
